IQUE LANGA

I wish I had a cool story about how I grew up wanting to be a film director. Unfortunately, that is not the case but ever since I can remember I've always enjoyed drawing, and that has been part of my life since chidhood.

I grew up in Maputo, Mozambique. My first experience with rigorous training in the arts came in the form of my Bachelor's degree in 2011 when I joined The Open Window Institute in Pretoria, South Africa. My goal was to graduate in Animation but I happened to fall in love with film after a minor in Film Studies. From that point on cinema has been a north star in my career, artistic interest, and personal life. After graduating as a film and television Major in 2015 I went on to work as an illustrator and videographer for two years in South Africa and Mozambique, but always trying to  cultivate and nourish my own personal interest in cinema and illustration. In 2017 I joined the London Film School in pursuit of further training in the craft of film directing. I graduated in 2021 and at the time of this writing am currently making films while living and working in London as an illustrator.
